Meet Samantha, a mum of two, content creator and homeschooler who finds God in the everyday moments.
At Stay Lit, we love connecting with individuals who are living their faith out loud in the ordinary rhythms of life.
When we spoke with Samantha, her heart for motherhood, wellness and slow living really struck a cord with us. Here’s how she introduced herself…
Meet Samantha
I’m Samantha, a mum of two, content creator, homeschooler, and someone who loves finding God in the everyday moments of life.
I share snippets of motherhood, faith, wellness, and real life online, often from my home or out on slow walks with my children.
Fun fact about me: I homeschool my 10 year old while also caring for a baby, which means most of my work happens in pockets of quiet, early mornings, or with a child on my hip.

Living Faith
Tell us more about your Christian journey.
I was brought up Christian, so God was never unfamiliar to me. I believed in Him, loved Jesus, and knew the Bible stories, but for a long time my faith lived more in my head than in my heart.
In June 2023, something shifted. I can’t pinpoint a single moment or altar call, but I attended a women’s Bible gathering and deeply felt the presence of the Holy Spirit.
It wasn’t loud or emotional, it was gentle, but undeniable. I walked away knowing that I didn’t just want to believe in God, I wanted to truly give my life to Christ and live differently.
From that point on, real change followed. I stopped smoking and drinking, became more mindful of what I consumed, from music to media and began dressing more modestly, not out of obligation, but conviction. It wasn’t about striving for perfection, but about surrender.
My faith became personal, active, and rooted in relationship.
That season marked the beginning of a deeper walk with Jesus, one that continues to shape my heart, my home, and how I live each day.
How does your experience with Christ shape who you are today?
My faith shapes everything, how I mother, how I create, how I rest, and how I speak. It’s taught me that my worth isn’t tied to productivity or visibility, but to being a daughter of God.
I try to live from a place of grace rather than striving, and to let my life quietly reflect Christ rather than perform faith.
It looks very ordinary, prayer in the middle of chaos, choosing patience when I feel overwhelmed, inviting God into small decisions, and teaching my children by example rather than instruction alone.
It’s slowing down, choosing presence, and trusting God with the things I can’t control
Faith Inspired Content Creation
What inspired you to start creating content online?
I started creating because I wanted to document real life, not the highlight reel, but the honest, in-between moments.
Motherhood and faith can both feel isolating, and I wanted to create a space that felt gentle, safe, and encouraging.
Creating became a way to connect, tell stories, and remind others that God is present in the ordinary.
How do you navigate sharing your faith online while protecting your spiritual health?
I try to lead with authenticity rather than obligation. I don’t feel pressure to always have the right words instead, I share from where I truly am.
Protecting my spiritual health means setting boundaries, stepping back when needed, and remembering that my relationship with God is private before it is public. My obedience matters more than approval.

What has been one of the hardest seasons in your journey, and how did it shape your faith and identity?
One of my biggest challenges was people pleasing. Even though I knew God from a young age, before fully giving my life to Christ I often felt pressure to be liked and accepted by everyone.
That led me into choices that didn’t always align with who I truly was, going out drinking and partying, dressing in ways that were more about approval than conviction, and shaping myself to fit in rather than standing firm.
As my relationship with God deepened, He gently began to show me that my worth isn’t found in how others see me, but in how He sees me.
Learning to rest in my identity in Christ brought freedom. Freedom from comparison, from striving, and from needing validation.
Through prayer, surrender, and time with God, I began to choose authenticity over approval and peace over performance.
What guidance or encouragement would you give to others walking by faith?
Just because your faith feels hard at times doesn’t mean you’re failing. And just because you’re not perfect doesn’t make you a hypocrite.
Walking with God doesn’t mean you’ll always get it right, it means you keep coming back to Him when you don’t.
For a long time, I struggled with the idea that if I lost my cool, said the wrong thing, or fell short in any way, I wasn’t “qualified” to speak about God.
But that isn’t true. That doesn’t make you a hypocrite, it makes you human. What matters is the posture of your heart. God sees your effort, your conviction, and your desire to grow.
Do your best, love God, love people, and when you fall short, repent, ask for forgiveness, and keep going.
Grace isn’t something we earn by being perfect, it’s something we walk in daily.

From the Heart: About Stay Lit
Samantha shared some unprompted reflections on our brand. Her honest perspective reminded us why we love what we do:
I’m genuinely grateful for brands like Stay Lit Apparel and the people behind them.
From my experience, they’re not just creating clothing, they’re creating something rooted in faith, integrity, and purpose.
The team are such a reflection of what it looks like to live out faith in a genuine, God-honouring way, and that really shows in everything they do.
Clothing can be a powerful tool, and I love that Stay Lit uses it to spread the Word and spark conversation in such an authentic, thoughtful way.
I’m thankful for brands that don’t just speak about faith, but live it and for the example they set in how they serve God through creativity.

What Inspired Us
Our conversation with Samantha reminded us of 3 important truths:
- Authenticity matters. Faith doesn’t make sense unless it’s lived genuinely, in the messy, everyday moments.
- Perfection isn’t the goal. Choosing God every day doesn’t automatically make you perfect, it means coming back to Him when you stumble, instead of running away.
- Live your values. Our lives should reflect our beliefs. If that means making changes, we should embrace them courageously.
We hope Samantha’s journey inspires you as much as it inspired us to live intentionally, Stay Lit in your faith, and embrace the everyday moments that shape your story.
