Did you know, the Bible says that God is able to exceed our expectations? He is able to do not just more, but exceedingly and abundantly more than anything we could ever ask for or think. Do you know what that means?
It means that God can do more in our lives than we can ever imagine. He can take us further than we have ever dared to go and He can use us in ways that we never even realised were possible!
For years I’ve been trying to understand how I can use my creativity and fashion expertise to inspire this generation. For those of you who don't know me my name is Laura Jane, I'm a fashion designer and entrepreneur. I started selling products as a hobby back in 2014 and now that little dream has become my life.
This year, my best friend challenged me with these words, ‘Laura what are you so afraid of?’ Sometimes it takes family, a friend or even a stranger to help you see your true potential and understand God's calling on your life.
I was scared, petrified even.
Satan threw darts of doubt left right and centre:
Who are you trying to run two businesses when you can hardly manage one?
Who are you trying to start up something without having all the necessary structures in place?
What makes you think anyone will want to buy your designs?
What makes you think you can make a difference?
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
Even with the raging doubts I leaped, I dared to dream! It took courage, it took boldness, it took a whole lot of faith but it also took resting on the promise God had given me, recognising that His Word is sure and not trusting in my wavy feelings and emotions.
If you told me last year or even a couple of months ago that I'd be running two businesses simultaneously, both of which are based on Scripture, inspired by God, I'd have laughed in your face with sheer utter disbelief.
But today i'm so proud to share with you my newest brand, my newest dream. It was about time we had some new Christian Apparel brands here in the UK so I present to you, Stay Lit Apparel.
